ARIEL Rouge is fermented and aged in the traditional red wine method: fermentation in stainless steel cooperage on the skins at temperatures above 75F (24C) for optimum color extraction and complexity of aromas and tannins. Some of the finished wine is oak aged for additional complexity. Just prior to bottling, the alcohol is gently removed by cold filtration.
ARIEL Rouge is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, carefully chosen from California appellation vineyards. Grapes selected show good aroma, balance and adequate tannins for aging.
